Belvoir Castle wedding fair and Lauren & Michael
Regardless of how many times I drive up the sweeping drive, I still feel that intake of breath as I see Belvoir Castle come into view through the trees. Its majestic, honey-coloured iron-stone against a picture perfect blue sky is unrivalled and it has such a magical presence to it which instantly makes me want to explore.
We love spending time at the Castle (irrespective of work and photography!) and are super excited to be a part of their wedding fair again this Sunday. If you’re planning your big day at the moment, we can’t recommend this luxury wedding show enough. Organised by the lovely Buckinghams, we just know that it’s going to have more than a sprinkling of that magical presence I mentioned.
Brides and grooms-to-be will all receive a copy of the brilliantly inspiring Buckinghams Wedding Magazine as they arrive and we’re delighted to have the wedding of Lauren and Michael featured in the latest edition (more to follow on that shortly). In the meantime, we thought we’d introduce Lauren and Michael through their fabulous pre-wedding shoot in the grounds of the Castle.....
Picture the scene......exquisite soft lighting, the beautiful backdrop of the Castle and far too much laughter and excited talk about their forthcoming wedding day! Lauren and Michael are lovely; the perfect blend of warm, bubbly personality from Lauren and (supposed) calm, seriousness from Michael. Once you get to know him though, you soon realise that Michael also has the same fun-loving personality and I had such a great time capturing some beautifully relaxed images of the two of them.
Lauren and Michael planned a stunning wedding in the private chapel of Belvoir Castle, followed by a reception in the Ballroom and majestic State Dining Room. When we first spoke, Lauren excitedly described a colour palette of dusky rose and champagne (which instantly appealed, personally, as we based our own wedding on similar tones). She’d also found ‘THE dress’ and I remember feeling as excited to see it as a member of the wedding party!
I loved spending time with Lauren and Michael and my heart swelled when I saw through the viewfinder the dreamy look on Lauren’s face as I photographed her looking up at the Castle. I knew she was picturing her wedding day and I smiled to myself thinking that I was just as excited to capture it for them both.
