Country funfair marquee wedding - Laura and Giles
When Laura and Giles first described their wedding day plans to us, I remember our excitement building. They talked about a beautiful marquee in the grounds of Laura’s parents' home, nestled next to a newly formed lake. Laura described her stunning lace wedding dress and their plans for styling the marquee - china pieces collected from family members, olive trees dotted throughout (courtesy of Gemma Bond Styling) and personalised bunting. They went on to explain the significance of the Paris-themed invitations (designed by the incredibly talented Hummingbird Card Company) and the Parisian theme which extended to dessert.
I then got even more excited when they went on to describe the old fashioned funfair....yes, Laura and Giles opted to treat their guests to a lovely, wooden fairground in the grounds of Laura’s family home, complete with a vintage swingboat, strongman game and coconut shy!
We had so much fun on Laura and Giles’ wedding day and even rain during the drinks reception didn’t dampen spirits. It was lovely getting to know their families and we were made to feel so welcome; we left feeling as though we’d been guests at the wedding. Such a beautifully fantastic day with truly lovely people.
