Jodie and Lee springtime family lifestyle shoot
I remember lots of magical moments from this gorgeous shoot, but the one residing memory that will stay with me forever, is being chased around Jodie and Lee’s beautiful field in the sunshine, in fits of giggles, camera in hand, by Lee and two of his gorgeous daughters on their ride-on mower!
I love getting fully immersed in fun where little people are involved and this shoot was no exception – I knew that rides on the mower with Daddy feature heavily in their life, so why not include it in the shoot!
These little ladies are no strangers to my camera, as I had the absolute joy of photographing them shortly after Ruby arrived into the World (you can read more about this lovely shoot here). I remember Olivia proudly leading me to her sister when I arrived for the last shoot and this time, she was able to do it for her other gorgeous little sister, Thea.
I knew that Jodie and Lee were obviously keen to capture some beautiful portraits of their youngest little lady, so I suggested that we started inside for some initial fun with little Thea. The delicate pale lemon dress and pretty cardigan worked perfectly for this (and toned beautifully with Mummy’s top too!) and I couldn’t have asked for a happier little one in front of my lens!
It was then time to head back outside for some fun with the whole family. I loved playing with the girls on the patio, before heading up to the field - we said hello to the chickens, stroked the horses over the fence and counted just how many times we could ‘twizzle’ on the swing! We then stopped for a snack break on the picnic rug, which provided the perfect opportunity to capture some lovely relaxed images of the whole family cuddling together (with a few chocolate treats in between of course!)
I knew that Jodie and Lee were hoping to create a stunning statement piece of art for their walls and so, at their preview session, we spent time choosing their favourite image and the perfect bespoke mount and frame to complement it. As they’re now good friends of ours, it made my heart absolutely sing to see the frame in pride of place on their living room wall and I hope that it brings as much of a smile to their faces for years to come as much as it did me (especially being chased around by their ride-on lawn mower!)
